I honestly hope the board has a longer term vision than deciding it on the result of one game.

For me, get Newell in. He da man!

Seconded. Anyone else spoken about I'm not convinced, but he looks like the makings of a great.

I just hope the board has the character to go with its convictions, regardless of saturday, I hope that if they felt Newell was the right man then they should appoint him asap, not wait for Kelly to slip up so to give them an excuse, but likewise if they really believe Kelly is the best man then they should appoint him and not be afraid of the backlash should we lose a game under him. Saturday's game is one match and a decision that could have a massive implication on the long term future of Leicester City and that decision should not be based purely on the outcome of 90 minutes of football, it should be made by the board based on who they believe is the best man to lead this club forward.

All the signs seem to suggest Newell, if he is in today for a 2nd interview he will probably be offerred the job at some point today, which means this thread title should read "Tomorrows the day!".

Im hoping for :-

a. Newell is offerred and accepts the post

b. He agrees to keep Kelly/Stowell at least until the end of the season

c. He allows Kelly to pick the team for Saturday (but i would hope he is there)

d. Press Conference tomorrow.. officially in charge from next Monday

e. In his first interview MN tells Holloway to feck off to Derby!

If Newell is a runner I see no reason why he would object to Kelly staying for the rest of the season for continuities sake. Kelly was brought in for his knowledge of this league and its players. I do not imagine that CL found all the new players without any input from Kelly.
I cannot see that Newell would say Kelly must go immediately. After all if Kelly had been part of the CL 'motivation/strategy' problem then TD would have sacked Kelly at the same time, and I am sure Newell would know that as well.
