Peter Rodrigues took penalties. And so did David Nish when he was playing fullback.

Well apart from Peter Rodrigues, David Nish, Ian Harte, Graham Alexander (didn't he invent the telephone in the close season), Peter Kennedy, Stuart Pearce, Lee Dixon, Gary Mills and Phil Neal it is rather rare for a fullback to be the clubs penalty taker.

I am always awestruck by the knowledge of the game to be found on this forum.

Plus you could still say despite their being examples of full backs who takes penalties, its still rare, in proportion to the amount of midfielders and strikers who take them

I betcha I could make a big list too....

I don't think full backs taking penalties really is that rare, I agree there's probably less than midfielders or forwards, but I reckon there's still a good proportion of teams who have full-back penalty takers.

Anyway, glad to see the club finally admit we haven't a pot to piss in

"The Leicester City boss knows he will have very little money, if any, to spend this summer to strengthen his squad."

"Pearson believes he has solid foundations in place in the likes of Jack Hobbs, Michael Morrison, Andy King and Matty Fryatt, and he will look to build on that solid core of young talent by recruiting Bosman and loan signings this summer."

Yes thank god, phew.

Those bosman signings could be Cole and Ballack! ;)

Delighted with this signing. Great news, we needed that position filled and I reckon that SW and NP know what they're doing alright...

Excellent.

Paul bloody fecking Bodin.

He missed an important penalty for Wales not long after he scored the play-off final penalty against us.

He made me cry twice in a year, as I've often said.

Missed a penalty to take us to USA '94.
:bang:

Just thinking about it makes me physically sick. The original Kermorgant moment.

At least he didn't try anything fancy. I've just rewatched it for the first time in 16 years and it was very nearly top corner :icon_cry:

Whilst searching for it found a Facebook group called "Paul Bodin Ruined My Life"....

I got married the following year but if we qualified was gonna bring it forward and go to the World Cup on honeymoon. Most definately a life changing experience. Watching the Romanians celebrate and then seeing the death flare fly is etched in my memory.

I see that Kennedy is the nephew of ex Liverpool player Alan. What is it with City taking on relatives of former players in the last few years.

We had Bruce last season and of course Clemence is one too and David Martin as well in recent seasons.

It is part of Steve Walsh's recruitment strategy "are you related to anyone half decent - right, your in"
