ffs people need to get some perspective, the guys been brought in because of an emergency not as our new permanent keeper. Questioning Pearson's judgement in this situation is absurd-how many other managers have had to field six goalkeepers this season or in fact ever? hes definitely good enough for league 1 imo.

Spot on, Ringo.

Ever since Stowell has been at this club the goalkeeping situation has been dire, quite possible the worst in our history and it's getting worse. We are now desperate and we will take desperate measures. Some might argue that without Stowell the situation may be much worse than it has been. It's a theory that's possible I s'pose, but not probable IMO.

I'm not too disappointed in this signing. It's got to be better than signing a keeper with a good reputation and ruining him.

is warner the guy who saved izzet's penalty in the last few minutes at millwall a few years ago?

Give the player a chance. He is an experienced keeper who played a number of games for Fulham presumably in the Premiership. He also made the subs bench at Liverpool - how many of our present team would manage that.
What is the situation with Conrad Logan? Is he injured or just not good enough? He has reached an age where if he is not good enough for Third Division football he is not worth keeping.
I am just thankful clubs keep lending us goalkeepers. To misquote Oscar Wilde "To lose one goalkeeper is unfortunate; to lose three smacks of carelessness."

Isnt Walker still out pf contract... :icon_wink

Yes - although only those of us who ignored their ban on away fans will have seen it.

Is that also the game that Dennis Wise scored the equaliser in a 2-2 draw? I'm pretty sure we went 2-0 up with Matt Heath scoring at least one of the goals.

Blimey, it looks like the forum's auto word sensor/blanker is no longer working.

Let me give it a go;

edit: Mmmmm, it appears to be working for my posts.

I'd forgotten about that. Remind me, why did they ban the away fans?

Yeah, it was when Mark McGhee managed them and Steve Claridge also played up front. He scored after about 10 seconds - pure silence!

We did win 4-1 in the end, though! ;)

This lad looked half asleep for the first 30 and i was getting nervous about him. He did however take some very good crosses in the 2nd half, but didn't need to make a save.

Jurys still out.
