I'm going on 9th July in Nottingham.
It was my first ever "big" gig (NEC) when I was a teenager.
Fecking Metalheads are taking over this place,I'm going to have to post a link for some obscure Indie Band soon
I can find no mention of proper metal in this thread
Feeder tickets go on sale on Wednesday from teir website, Friday from every other website it seems. Not such a high profile tour this time, taking in Rock City and Loughborough Uni instead of the arenas.
Off to see Radiohead on Sunday - can't be arsed. Set-lists look absolutely shite, expensive tickets, would rather go and see Bon Jovi again.
Hopefully because the c**ts are packing up.Might never get the chance to see them again.

F**king hate them.Thought you were a fan?
I love their older stuff - but I do agree that they are so far up their own arses.
Are you going to any?
I'm tempted.
F**king hate them.
I like Creep and the odd occasional song, but I think they are one of the most overrated bands of my lifetime, along with Nirvana.

How are the Manics overrated?Ditto the Manics
How are the Manics overrated?
They never get any accolades (excpet the recent NME one) or awards, or "The best band since sliced bread" type tags. They are not pushed in your face as a "must listen to" band, the music industry ignores them and their videos get no airplay.
Just curious as to how you draw your conclusion.
I wasn't talking about Radiohead, I was talking about the Manic Street Preachers. Its not Radiohead's fault they are given accolades or pushed in your face as ''must listen to '' band.If you don't like their music then thats fair enough but they don't court publicity. Not sure what Channels you watch but ''Your Love Alone' is on Q everynight without exception

TBH, I've followed the Manics since before their first album was released, and I couldn't give a monkey's about "other people" who like them. I am influenced by nobody other than the people making the music, but I do confess to being disappointed when the Manics stopped becoming "my band".Maybe it has just been in my circle of friends in the past but I have always had the impression that Manics are very much a band cool to like, same as Radiohead, Muse, Coldplay (though I do like their new album) and Stereophonics. Not so much rated in the media maybe but certainly amongst people I know. All of the above I really can't see the attraction to, except to a degree Coldplay.
