There is surely nothing worse than washing sieves
There is surely nothing worse than washing sieves
With the possible exception
Of being Garth Crooks
There is surely nothing worse than washing sieves

Do you switch the kitchen light off with your chin?
Do you switch the kitchen light off with your chin?
When you’re holding tea and toast
And there’s no-one else about
Do you switch the kitchen light off with your chin?

When you’re down beside the lake you’re bound to hear
When you’re down beside the lake you’re bound to hear
When you’re down beside the lake you’re bound to hear somebody say:
“Careful now, that swan can break your arm”

Oh before the gods that made the gods were born
Yes before the gods that made the gods were born
Yes before the gods that made the gods
Woke up and made the gods
That’s when you got into
That’s when you got into
Yeah that’s when you first got into the Manics

I wasn't talking about Radiohead, I was talking about the Manic Street Preachers.

YLA was number two in the charts, but it's main airplay was due to that foreign bint. I doubt it's on every night any more as I have every music channel available and it's certainly not on much.

As for Radiohead, I'm clever enough to know that it's the music that they should be judged on, and I don't like it. But nor do I need some cardiganed student who's never been outside telling me why I should.

Everytime I watch Q for anytime Your Love Alone is on,I have no reason to lie.I'm off to sow a button now on my Cardigan..(WTF is that all about :icon_conf)People like what they like and I see no point arguing about it as in ''my band are better than your band'':icon_roll

Maybe it has just been in my circle of friends in the past but I have always had the impression that Manics are very much a band cool to like, same as Radiohead, Muse, Coldplay (though I do like their new album) and Stereophonics. Not so much rated in the media maybe but certainly amongst people I know. All of the above I really can't see the attraction to, except to a degree Coldplay.

I like Radiohead (not all their stuff and Muse but I like them because I like their music,it has nothing to do with being 'cool',anybody ho knows me would tell you I'm anything but cool.I think people loook too closely into it and if people like music they like it because of how it sounds and they can relate insome parts to the lyrics, thats my reason anyway and certainly not becase its 'hip' to like it,I'm about the most uncool person there is

Going down to see Europe (the band, not the continent) tonight, I hope they play Final countdown, that's the only song I know of them.

Too many "filler" songs in there, was very boring at times, and the venue was shocking, awful sound (what do you expect from a cricket ground though) 5/10.
