My other half is a big Meat Loaf fan, I'm surprised she's not mentioned he's on tour - maybe she doesn't know. Shall I be nice and tell her, and risk having to go, or just pretend I know nothing about it?

Not so much a fan, as much as I quite liked them back in the day. Although "Kennedy" is one of my all time favourite tracks of all time, and the chance to see it live is too good to miss.

Yes, but the Hampton Court Flower Show is on that week and unfortunately sections of our trade are governed by it.

I shall be attending the Meat Loaf concert in Liverpool on July 2nd.

I'm going on 9th July in Nottingham.

It was my first ever "big" gig (NEC) when I was a teenager.

good show in the end, rain wasn't as bad as I expected - would have preferred a setlist with more older stuff in. Going again on Tuesday - hopefully we'll see some sun!

Good concert, and no fat men wearing Queen shirts! I managed to record almost the whole of the last song in the encore, wanted dead or alive on my camera so I might try and stick that up on youtube later..!

There were a few gays though, they were the second band that went up in stage.. possibly the second worst support band I have ever seen.. lead singer felt it appropriate to perform what I can only describe as ballet poses every 5 minutes.

The opening band was a surprise though, Heaven's Basement - formerly Hurricane Party/ Roadstar who seem to have now adopted a heavier sound and must be under new management or something, they only did 4 or 5 songs but put ona great show.
