And Season Tickets were cheaper that season than they are now. Not sure about individual match tickets.

Stupid Chavs fan said we would have no chance of filling the stadium of 42,000 so I looked at the attendances for when we were last in the Premiership.

Last time we were in the Prem we failed to break 30,000 attendances 4 times in all competitions according to the OS - Against Crewe (27,675), Man City (18,916), Bolton (26,674) & Fulham (28,392) - Two of them were cup, Bolton was the lowest attendance of the Premiership season which was a Tuesday night fixture & Fulham well they just aren't a team that people want to watch apparently. :102:

But we weren't charging these prices

Fulham & Bolton probably only brought a few hundred each (not that I can be bothered to check)

I certainly remember at the Bolton game that it looked like they'd just brought 10 miserable fans.

I'm sure I heard the assistant manager fella (who speaks plenty better inglis than PS) on Radio Leics earlier going on about signing Heskey to compete with Cardiff signing Bellamy.

Anyone else or did I get it wrong?

He was asked on the east midlands news if it would be a possibility and he said it would be good and couldn't rule it out. (or something along those lines)

I'm hopeful of the latter as I suspect there's more money available than just the individual wealth of Riak..The new owner, as it's a consortium takeover, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's additional wealthy (very wealthy) investors!

Sad to quote myself but I have just returned from delivering a coaching session, and whilst there I have been told that part of the consortium is a group of chaps who have business dealings with some very well known football clubs one of which is Arsenal. And one of these fellas is a Swiss Billionaire. BILLIONAIRE. Who also has business links in Thailand.

I hoped that the Thai's where the face of it with genuinely wealthy partners behind the scenes. And it would appear that's exactly what we have.

I for one am a little excited :)

Unless you delivered this coaching session in the City boardroom, why should you, or any of us, believe this gossip?

I believe it because the person who shared this info is from a family who own a large business within leicestershire (social circles and all that) and her best friend is the girlfriend of The said Swiss Billionaire and showed me a text from her which read " ****** and his pals have just bought your club"

So if they've put this together to spoof me, fair play to them because I bought it, and have no reason to diss-believe her.

Believe it or not, I care not. I thought I would share so others may feel a spring in their step and feel optimistic as to the direction our club is heading in. And as I alluded to earlier, someone who's personal wealth is 100 million is not going to spend 40 million (ish) on a club let alone give the manager 10 mill for players. There has to be some serious money in that consortium and until proven different I'm happy to believe what i've seen and been told tonight.

Why would he lie? Pretty pointless if he is which makes me think he is telling the truth.

Excited by the news of the billionaire, I want Pratley, Whittingham, Hume, Ashley Williams, Sean St Ledger, Andrew Lonergan, Paul Robinson (Milwall), Steve Morison, Jason Roberts, Benjani and maybe a few others.
