Like I said RS I hope I'm wrong, its my opinion and its probably worth nothing and i can only go by what relations say having not seen us play.My Dad and my brother went Burnley and said we 'were fecking awful':102:

We were, but by the same token we were improved against Ipswich, played ok against Cov and well in patches against Southend.

The club is likely to finish around 8-12th IMO which would mean that come the end of the season a couple of the players (not all by any means) would have to go to allow RK to buy anyone new. This isn't much different from the majority of clubs in the Football League.

As for 'rotting from the inside' the financial stability of the club is such that we don't have to sell if we don't want to or players don't want to leave. The club has structured the pay-roll so it isn't going to be altered much next summer (unless we are promoted/relegated) as most of the players are under contract or will be on similar deals if they renew.

I anticipate that come January 2 scenarios are likely:

a) that we are no where near the play-offs and so interest from clubs offering inexcess of £1million will be considered more seriously for 1/2 players with the majority of the money given to RK to spend.

b) we are play-off possibilities and therefore the club will only sell if RK feels he can improve the squad with the money he'd be given. If he doesn't then the squad will remain as is unless 'silly money' is offered.

Either way its not doom and gloom IMO - just the reality of being a middling Championship team for 2 seasons. Its certainly not going to be a flashfire sale of all our players cause we need the money, the majority of this squad will be together at the beginning of next season and will continue to develop and improve.

Thats fair comment.I just wonder if some of them will want to be here.

Fortunatley I didn't go to the Burnley game. I think our performances at West Brom and Sunderland will define how good/middling/bleeding awful we are. In my earlier post I was referring to the hope I have that we've got a few more youngsters in the wings yet to make their mark, and that won't happen straight away, it'll be over the next couple of years. In a strange way, that's why I'm optomistic, because as we are skint we are going to have to bring our own players through, and in the long run that can only be good as Academy players can ( for the first time ) see that they will be given a chance.

Everything in his will has been written out to City.

That's nice of him, but he's almost encouraging fellow City fans to push him under a Fox Travel bus so the club can get it's hands on his no doubt substantial bequest.:icon_lol:

Careful Webbo for all we know Bernie may even post on here as I don't think he is all that mad under the blue face paint & jester hat disguise.:icon_wink

Yes I do post on here and I am not mad, in fact Monday to Friday I hold down a repectable job in the City, I have an extensive client portfolio and I am a very successful investor in the world trade markets.

It is only on saturday's that I 'let my hair down' have a few beers and enjoy following the city.

Here love pass me another can of special brew ....aaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhh

Does anyone know what he does for a living? Me and my mate have a theory that he is actually a well respected business man during the week and the weekend thing is just an act. He must ge the money from somewhere. As we all know following city home and away aint cheap.
