the matchday tickets have for a while been overpriced and season tickets underpriced I think you taking the wrong stance on this.

You mean that they should not be asking opinions as you already have the answer? Surely you would be glad to have it confirmed.

But surely that is the whole point of season tickets :102:, the club get payment up front and they have a guaranteed sale for a match ticket 6-8 months in advance.

As a result, they reward the ST holder for a) Helping out with cash flow and b) going to every home game

I don't know how much the matchday tickes are so I don't know if they are expensive or not, but of course they need to be more expensive than STs

Is that over expensive compared to STs, I don't think so :102:

I haven't done the maths yet so I may be wrong, but it doesn't seem over expensive to me

I agree. We'd all like everything to be cheaper, but our prices are pretty average for a club of this size and status.

I haven't had an ST for donkeys years, as I can only get to a small number of games a season, but I don't think I pay over the odds compared to those that do have them.

"Our volunteers spoke with over 100 fans...."

A nice statistically viable sample, then - 0.004 per cent of the crowd.....

A South Stand ST works out at about £13 a ticket which seems good value compared to the £20 'walk-up' price. However I do not know the value of the bargains there have been this year, e.g. buy a pint of beer, get a free ticket; 2 matches for £25 etc.
Tickets should be priced attractively. Obviously having a decent team to watch is part of the attraction! I think loyal ST holders should get a good deal compared to 'occasional' ST holders or 'walk-ups' and the club should look to the additional sales they can generate from 30 000 fans compared to 20 000 fans. For instance I buy nearly £25 worth of food and sweets for my family outside the ground because of the poor quality and value inside the concourses.

did they put a suvery out to say: stephen hughes does not deserve to pick up his pay packet?

for home games at say £22 per game over 23 home games would be £506 so season tickets are a bit cheaper over all i carnt spell but my maths is fine :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
But, there are plenty of home games which aren't £22 but instead are a lot cheaper. I think the balance is OK, of course ours are cheaper, it would be wrong for it to be any different, but out of proprtion different, I don't think so

And even better than the true walk-up price of £22. The £20 price is for members and must be bought before the day of the match.

I think you can presume that if the season ticket price goes up very far beyond last season's £299, there will be people not renewing even with MM in control.

When I used to have a season ticket in the Carling, the savings over match-day prices were very small - one season is was just £4 (for the whole season, not per game). But then I didn't have the bother of actually getting a ticket for each individual game and I was guaranteed a regular Wembley ticket.

That was in the days when the ground was nearly full every week though. Season tickets have to eb cheaper now to try to fill the ground. If there was only a £4 saving, many people wouild simply pick and choose their games and there wouldn't be anywhere near the number of season-ticket holders that there are now.
