When I used to have a season ticket in the Carling, the savings over match-day prices were very small - one season is was just £4 (for the whole season, not per game). But then I didn't have the bother of actually getting a ticket for each individual game and I was guaranteed a regular Wembley ticket.

That was in the days when the ground was nearly full every week though. Season tickets have to eb cheaper now to try to fill the ground. If there was only a £4 saving, many people wouild simply pick and choose their games and there wouldn't be anywhere near the number of season-ticket holders that there are now.

Good point! If there is not a significant saving many fans might give up the 'guaranteed same seat' (which is a big attraction for my family), and just cherry-pick the best matches. If I did that we might only go to about a dozen matches, unless of course we were playing attractive football or the players at least looked like they gave a toss!

nah I got no problems with them doing the survey but I didnt see them do the same thing when there was discussions on high matchday prices thats all.
