If we play 4-4-2 then it is a no brainer, Captain or not McCarthy has to miss out, possession is nine tenths of the law and Kisnorbo and McAuley have done very well.

If injuries force a change in formation then too be honest I would select Johansson as the left sided centre half.

Mccarthy should be the one not to play as the other 2 have done so well recently. a back 3 with kisnorbo the player dropping off wouldnt be a bad option either imo.

thought it for a while 3-5-2 would be best for us, weso, stearman and williams in the centre, maybury rwb, welsh/johansson/tiatto lwb, kisnorbo, macarthy, mcauly centre backs and hume and fryatt up front, or 4 3 3, johansson, mcauly, kisnorbo and kenton, at the back, stearman, weso, and williams mid and welsh left side hume right side and fryatt in the middle, bit like when chelsea was playing with drogba, duff and robben

I was thinking longer term when everyone's fit. Personally I think Kisnorbo and McCauley have done enough and are in possession at the moment.

Tough one. the two in possesion are playing well.

Why? Nobody really uses 3-5-2 anymore, just look at the last England game ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went for McCarthy for now as neither PK or GM deserve to be dropped. It's nice to have a position where we have real strength esp as Nissa or Stearman could also play there.

I would sooner see mcarthy and mcauley in the middle and kisnorbo at lef back rather than johannson, but then I would sooner have anyone at left back than johannson

I think that McAuley will struggle to win his place back, well until one of the Paddy's gets injured or suspended. :icon_bigg
