Defender Luke Thomas has signed his first professional contract with Leicester City Football Club, to 2021.
- Defender Luke Thomas has signed his first professional contract with Leicester City Football Club
- The 17-year-old has made 13 league appearances for the Under-18s this season, scoring three goals
- Thomas is an England U18s international having most recently represented his country in the UAE Sports Chain Cup

Thomas, 17, has scored three times in 13 league appearances for the Under-18s this season while also representing Leicester City’s Development Squad and Under-21s in Premier League 2 and the Checkatrade Trophy.
The talented youngster received his maiden call-up to England Under-18s in November last year and mostly recently represented the team in March as he helped them to a runners-up spot in the UAE Sports Chain Cup.
He was also one of three players nominated for City’s Academy Player of the Year in May 2018 after an outstanding campaign for the Under-18s.

I've read in other places this lad is rated equally as high if not higher than Chilwell was at the same stage, if we can keep Chilwell until he is ready, assuming he makes it, we could have the replacement in house

hopefully this is Beaglehole's last season ,he is totally incompatible with the way the first team plays, there is only one problem, he is Rudkin's boy and Rudkin is still very hands on in the academy

The lad who was on trial was taken off after 37 minutes doesn’t bode well for his chances here

hopefully its the last few weeks of Beaglehole, the U23s need to play the same way as the first team
