I would have been happy with a point at the start of the day, but didnt expect the route we took to get it.

Fair play to them for grabbing the equilizer, when it all looked doom and gloom:038:

Well then. According to Soccerbase...

In league games - the last time Leicester came back from 2 goals down and won was seven years ago (7-09-02) against MK Dons at Selhurst Park.

Final score of 3-2 with City goals from Benjamin, Izzet, & Stewart after being 2-0 down after 16 mins. All in front of an amazed crowd of 2165 people (average-ish for a Dons home game).

Since then we have lost 4-3 to Wolves (Oct 03), lost 3-2 to QPR (Sept 04), and lost 3-2 to Brighton (Oct 08 with 2 goals from Fryatt).

But don't forget The FA Cup! The TV game in Jan 06 saw us come from 2-0 down against Spurs with goals from 3 City legends (The Mighty Elvis H, Super Steven Hughes & Big Mark De Vries).

Anyhow.
So pleased that we managed to get something in injury time today.

It was against Wimbledon, their fans were boycotting their games due to the proposed move to MK which is why the crowd was so low.

Soccerbase just renamed Wimbledon in their database, so as far as Soccerbase is concerned MK Dons won the FA cup in 1988 :icon_roll

This is definitely a case of 2 points lost for me, to lose a 2-0 lead is absolutely criminal. I would have been happy with a draw if it weren't for the manner we got it. Sounds like we absolutely fell to pieces in the second half when we should have finished the game off.

Disappointing yes, but thats football.

If Leicester were 2-0 down by half time at the Walkers, would you give up:102:.
Momentum in a match can be crucial. At half time today i feared that if Watford scored the next goal, we would struggle. If Leicester had been 1-0 down and then came back to lead 2-1, i would have been confident of a win.

I was not at the game so cannot comment on the performances. It is true that to lose a two goal lead is disappointing. However, Watford must be more gutted coming back from 2-0 down to winning 3-2 and then have city equalise on the last minute. Did Wellens walk off injured or was he stretched off? Obviously I am wondering how serious the injury is since I rate him very highly.

Not a bad result away from home. Plus Derby, Coventry and Forest all lost.

I know what you're saying, but it's hard enough to win away games at the best of times, without throwing 2 goal leads away. Hopefully the team will learn a lesson from today's game though and they still managed to get a point. It's just frustrating, we could be sitting in 4th now if we'd just killed the game off.

Good game for the neutrals though!

if howard's header hadn't been saved (very well) at the start of the 2nd half and we'd have gone 3 up, we'd have strolled it.
It didn't and we were shit in the 2nd half. lucky to get a point.
2 points dropped, but i had fryatt at 5/1 for first goal and bernie decided not to strip off in the oddfellows garden, when it looked like he was about to go for it... dirty boy

Horror show second half. Threw it away as MK says had Howards header gone in, game over. We won all 2nd balls first half and then lost it from the go
in the second half.

Absolutely cracking header from N'Guessan

I suppose it will have to do.

OK, can someone who was at Vicarage Row today please explain what the feck happened. I was at work so only got snippets on my mobile.

It appeared Watford started with Plan A. We started with Plan B - diamond midfield, no wingers. HT we are 2 -0 up. Plan B looks great!

Second half, Watford change to their Plan B and score three goals. We did not appear to have a Plan C or revert to a Plan A.

I am in my car at just after 5pm and I hear the dulcet tones of Stringer - YEEEES! N'GUESSAAAAAN! WHAT AN INSPIRED SUBSTITUTION BY PEARSON!

Well if it was that inspired, why the feck didn't he do it 30 minutes earlier?

So can someone tell me what happened in the second half?

Did the players lose the plot? Did the manager lose the plot? Or both?!

And what shape corner flags do they have? :icon_bigg

(although I suspect that it is more of a myth than anything in the rules...)
