is it sky's fault the league wont allow 3pm saturday games to be televised?

Eh?

I was saying that if clubs gave a shit they could address the matter of fixture changes with the League as a whole. This kinda includes your question, doesn't it? The clubs are the League.

If they are moved for TV then yes. Spose I should have made that clear.

It was perfectly clear what you meant. I'm asking are you sure that a TV game means more income for the club?

It means more income from TV for them yes. However, if their claims that they lose money on each TV game are true, then probably not net.

People who would sooner watch Man Utd than their own team wouldn't buy tickets for their local team anyway though, surely?

Well I've known many to be at the KP and Filbo over the years wearing Liverpool/Arse/Cheatsea shirts....so probably yeah. Plus I only attend my local team when Leicester matches aren't an option.

My point is though, if the 20 odd thousand at any given Leicester match, how many would stay away to watch Man Utd? I honestly don't think it would be that many.

So club have not said anything of any worth at all. How about we believe a change in the rules should be made? That would really show you side you the fans.

Not fecking chance.

I hope someone can help with this mess but I haven't got a ****ing clue what he means, shambles.

Midweek attendances in the lower divisions are noticeably lower when there's a big Champions League match on TV. The same thing would happen if 3PM matches on Saturdays were televised.

What a sad reflection on today's game.

True, but how low down do we need to go...my local side are charging £13/4 for game where some of the players are brickies/accountants/shit jobs as well as footballers. The game is rotten, they can all go **** themselves as far as I'm conferned.

That's another thing...I feel old for wanting 'my game' back, I'm 27 for **** sake! Boc must be spewing his ring 24/7 or given up.

Is that Gateshead?

What's the problem with their ground?

They've been playing "home" games at different grounds (Hartlepool, Blyth, York, Barrow, one scheduled for Carlisle) for some time now.

Pitch is a mess, belongs to the council so cost to repair isn't happening. They need to get arses in gear to build the new stadium.

I'm glad we get to see all these games on TV, but feel for those of you with season tickets!

So I know 8 games have been moved for TV, but presumably there have been others that were scheduled for midweek/moved for other reasons.... so how many home games have we actually played at 3pm on a Saturday this season?
