Wayne Brown rumour

Brown's actions have the potential to cause irreparable damage to the club and its reputation. Hopefully, for the good of everyone, he will be dealt with in the most severe way possible. The club has to show that it will not tolorate any form of racist behaviour be it from within the club or on the terraces.

However. What I find equally as worrying is that someone from within the club felt it necessary to inform the press as to what had (allegedly)happened knowing full well the long term harm that this could do to the club. We have players at this club of various nationalities and ethnic origins and the management team have worked miracles in the way they have created a unity and spirit within the team.

Browns (alleged) actions may possibly have damaged that, however, internal bridges could have been mended, the player offloaded and no-one would have been any the wiser.

The actions of whomsoever passed this story to the media have the potential to do far more long term damage to the club and this needs urgent attention and dealing with in a way that will send a message out to all staff at the club that airing the club's laundry in public will not be tolerated.

I agree, but it's always going to get leaked if it happens infront of a number of players/staff; that's just life. Even if it comes out from a 3rd or 4th source, it will still be sufficiently based on facts to have LCFC on the back foot.

Re: Kermorgant

Theres no excuse for voting BNP ?

If the man wants to vote that way surely its up to him, not me your or LCFC ?

I dont agree with their policys but the club cannot sack someone for a vote ?

There must be more to it than this ?

Do you think so?

I voted Labour because I believe Pete Soulsby is a man of integrity and because labour are closer to my philosophy. I only reveal this so that Chris will know my criticisms come from the same side.

Democracy relies on people accepting that good and thoughtful people do not necessarily agree with you. I know good and thoughtful people some of whom are Conservative and some are LibDem. I think the Greens and UKIP are silly but I am sure their voters are well-intentioned.

If you believe that people who disagree with you are either villains or fools you step into BNP or Socialist Worker territory. If those who disagree with you are fools or villains you end up with concentration camps.

Yes the Daily Mail is frequently obnoxious and hateful. However, Indy writers such as Johann Hari on the monarchy and Yasmin Alibhai Brown on America need no lessons in hate.
Johann Hari did a hate filled attack on the historian Niall Ferguson which reminded me of Barry Fry attacking the abilities of Jose Mourhino.

You are very lucky to have had the chance to know your grandparents and to find themk "unforgivable" because they disagree with your politics is sad.

David Starkey said "We should never make gods of our opinions."
Remember you may be wrong.

Enjoy your grandparents company and beware of certainty.

Oh, in reality I don't think all Tory voters are villains and fools. Misguided and overly susceptible to manipulation by mainstream media, perhaps. Selfish, perhaps, but then who isn't?

As I said, I love my Grandparents and see them regularly. I do find their politics a bit sad though. How have the Tories ever helped working-class Northerners?

I said the exact same thing later in the thread. Everyone has a right to vote as they see fit.

You can't keep on giving money away you don't have just to appease "the working class".

True.

But would you really make it public knowledge in a city has a higher majority of minorities than most other cities in the country.

Oh, I know, it's just the principle of voting for a party that have never done anything to benefit the Northern working class that baffles me.

I can sort of understand the independence from the state thing, but until we're in a society with no-one below the poverty line then this is simply unworkable. People need help. There's no shame in claiming that help. We all use the NHS.

Brown does look like someone who would vote BNP tbh.

!!!!!

An outrageous statement mate.It actually makes YOU sound like the BNP!

If we're down to judging people by how they look then the cab driver who picked me up the other day needs to be locked up sharpish as he was clearly an Arab terrorist.

Same sort of thinking used to get you put away (after a spot of state approved torture) for having an Irish accent 30 years ago.

For your info, apart from a slimmer build I'm pretty much a dead ringer for Wayne Brown.I also wear Doc Marten boots most of the time just as I have done since I was 14.
I even own an MA2 pilot jacket that I wear on occasion.

My politics is left of centre, always has been & always will be.

My best advice is don't get your opinions from the BNP...but don't get them from tabloid press stereotypes either.

That's the second time you've mentioned David Starkey recently. Can you stop it, please?
He's a vile little man and the mention of his name makes me feel a bit ill.

We have tended to concentrate more on David S____ who is well able to look after himself rather than on Macky with his strange affliction.

It has to keep the poor chap on edge because he never knows when during a nights TV the name may get mentioned.
At present announcers mention when a programme has flashing lights. It might help Macky if it was announced "the following programme contains mention of the name of a wellknown Tudor historian."

I am not keen to praise the Cinservatives but:

Disraeli gave the vote to working class men for the first time in 1867.
Eden may have saved more working class lives than anyone since Aneurin Bevan with his Clean Air Act of 1956.
The expansion of working class housing in the 1920s and 1930s of which the most famous was Metroland and a local example is the Gwendolen Road area of Leicester were pushed through by mainly Conservative governments.

Conservative leaders from the upper classes like Salisbury, Balfour and Macmillan have often had a rather patronising but still genuine concern for the working class. Beware of those who were the daughters of ordinary Grantham shopkeepers.

All very interesting but back onto Wayne Brown...has anyone else heard about some incident when he was at Colchester involving Muzzy's bro?

Dont' know what it is(though if it's true then I don't think I'd need a million guesses as to what it would be about!)

ummm... David, you've already replied to that post.

It may have been a very mildly amusing post to have made yesterday, but having a second bite at it the next day is a bit of a 'fail' I'm afraid.
