I've read some drivel on this board but, I think that this thread contains more than most.
Neither Megson or Ollie can make a team out of this collection of players. A small number (four at most) astute signings in the January window and, I genuinely think that this team will be unrecognisable.
The reason that I am delighted that Megson deserted the club, but am willing to give Holloway a chance is because Holloway is trying to build the players. He looks for the good and works to increase that whilst Megson from day one bemoaned the players and, instead of putting out a balanced team, played seven or eight defenders and milked applause for the division's tightest defence!

Kenton on radio commenting on the difficult games ahead...........' yeah, its make or break time for our season, a few good results and we can get up the table and challenge for promotion:081::icon_roll. If not we will be looking over our shoulders again'

Er Mr Kenton there wont be any teams to look over your shoulders at soon. The way its going they'll have all gone past us:icon_conf

Yes BB - the sooner any silly talk about challenging for anything stops - except making sure we don't get relegated - the better it will be for all concerned.

To be honest most sides look better equipped than us - even the likes if Cardiff.

We need some honesty from the club now - accept that we are very very poor and the investments in a big wage bill have been almost entirely a waste of money and lets take it from there.

We have proved that we are around a point a game material irrespective of who is managing. The only slightly significant change is that having changed from Megson's ultra defensive mode - we now give away a few more goals.

i thought Pele played well considering he is 67 strange to see him at centre back though

Just got back and going straight out again so have not read the thread, so sorry if repeating previous comments.

We were well beaten by a much more skillful side. Lucky to get a dodgy goal. Hume as ever wasted a couple of chances and could not decide if was Left Midfield or Centre Forward and made a mess of both. Kisnorbo made some serious errors at the back and I would have been happier with N'Gotty there. Clemence was woeful again, playing behind the midfield and passing it sideways or backwards. Kenton was a breath of fresh air, got stuck in, got forward and displayed some passion. Definitely should keep his place.

We did not give up but were simply outplayed by a far better team and Baggies fans would have felt robbed if we had nicked a second equaliser.

Spot on. Kenton surprised me today, he seemed to be one of very few who actually gave a shit, played pretty well.

Clemence has been rubbish every time ive seen him, and the midfield was too defensive at the start. Hume just runs around trying hard with little ability most of the time, but what annoys me the most is that he wins more headers than Cort does, what is the point of Cort being in the team if he can't win any headers!? He never scores either.

Kisnorbo as soley a defender, is alright, his tackling and defensive heading is fine, however most of the long hoofs up field come from him, and his distribution in general is diabolical. So often when in acres of space he just aimlessly heads a ball rather than takes it down and passes it, which i cannot understand.

Hayes played well when he came on, i think we'd have been better off starting him and Chambers on either side, at least they run with the ball, Hayes has a decent cross on him too.

Overall though we didn't deserve anything, the gulf in class was unbelievable, they were the best team i've seen us play in this league, and if they don't go up then i shall be very surprised.

Only one outfield player there today who deserves any praise and that was Kenton.

Stearman if you read this board, please feck off somewhere in January, you are about as much use a pig farmer in Iran! The quicker you leave and find your level of football elsewhere the better, you are total and utter shite and was the cause of both WBA goals today. I fcuking hate you you lanky cnut. Now piss off

.
The SMT's forced Megson out, he was NEVER made to feel welcome here. The Blue mongies will NEVER say a bad word about holloway so the future is in his own hands.
.

Sorry but that's bollox, Megson left for more money and a chance in the prem, I don't blame him but lets not make him a victim here.

I was prepared to give Megson a chance & I'll give Ollie a chance too. All the blame for this is in the hands of MM who signed shit players and a shit manager too(Allen).

I just came across this from Ollie on the OS:

"I can't thank the people enough. I said one or two things and just look at the response we got from Carl Cort today. That's three games in the last week that he has played and he was terrific."

That's just bollocks isnt it, he was shit, AGAIN.

Ollie's constant defence of Cort is beginning to annoy me.

and then again Hume was no better was he.

Don't worry about it, we'll all get on Ollie's back, curse him as much as we can and hope he's gone by Feb, when a new dawn will see Gus Hiddink arrive with Kaka, Ronaldinho and Gerrard to really give it a go.

Thank feck for that, I was starting to get worried. :icon_bigg

That's true, but at least he gives off the impression of trying even though he doesn't really have any talent, and scores a couple a year. Cort just lopes around doing **** all every game, and now the manager keeps telling us how great he is!

Do you think we are really in trouble BG:102: or do you think the transfer window will save us, coupled with the fact that we cant do much worse in the 2nd half of the season.:102:

I think we are in big trouble, and deeper than we have been in the last few seasons. Its down to MM and the way he has or has been running the club. Too much upheaval, too many changes.
I don't think January transfers will help either, which players would want to come here of any quality. I have lost all enthusiasm to attend matches now and I really don't look forward to them now.
Today after the match, people were actually clapping, clapping a bunch of losers

The cnut didn't go today either. Why should I sit through that shite and he is getting pleasure elsewhere!

Was down Narb Rd about k.o time. It was pi$$ing down, cold and miserable. If someone had said i'll pay you £10 to go and watch the city game, i'd have refused.

I'm not trying to defend Hume here, i agree that he is one of the problems we have, and it's a problem with English football in general, that if someone tries hard it's ok, even though they might be shit at least they tried. Hume wouldn't get in my starting 11 and probably wouldn't get on the bench either, but at least he's better than Cort.
