IMO we have only 3 feasible options :
1) Take a gamble on an unproven lower division striker like Andy Kirk, David Nugent or Pawel Abbott, who are likely to cost peanuts.
2) Sign a young premiership or out of favour striker on loan or like Nick Chadwick, Paul Gallagher, Malcolm Christie or Rob Hulse.
3) Try to set up a swap deal for a player who is due out of contract in summer like Scowcroft for Michael Ricketts / David Johnson / Pablo Counago or Bobby Zamora. Or offer Benjamin and Blake for Leon Knight at Brighton.
We know we have little money available but many clubs are in similar situations, so there is scope to loan or arrange swap deals, this may enable us to bring in a decent striker.
