Jorrin Johns fantastic shot seals a City 2-1 win over Loughborough Dynamo last night to win the Westerby Cup Winners Cup.

Sven was in attendance as can be seen in the picture special below*, so perhaps one of the youngsters may get into the squad for the trip to Barnsley.
Unlikely to be Schlupp though as he didn't even get off the bench.

what a cracking goal by john i was stood right next to where he took the shot from.....he knew exactly what he was doing from when he asked luke o'neil i think it was to pass him the ball.....he lined it up and it was a superb top corner goal there goal keeper had no chance.

It is disappointing that no-one developed from the Academy is forcing there way into serious consideration this season, the lack of proper reserve match fixtures I reckon is to blame for this

I think it's pretty much a consense between footballing professionals that the decline of reserve team football is not beneficial to developing youngsters.

Parkes is the one to watch, I really hope he gets a loan spell as Sven has suggested in the Mockery.

I an sum uvver Mongs was wundering in the bus shelter last nite were was Vassell. We fort he waz supposed 2 be playin.

over all we played quite well..very similar to how the 1st team play...they were all hungry..the passing was fast and mostly acurate...two big centre halfs cleared almost everything...dynamo played well and put in a superb effort it was fitness that told on them...but the lads had been to work all day !

king, john, and o'neil stood out for me...john worked his sox off he never stopped running or trying to find space for himself.

i was impressed the future looks bright the future is blue and white
