Seems like a day for very bad injuries.

I went Burton v Weymouth 1-1, entertaining game but devoid of quality. A Weymouth striker was full-blooded kicked in the face after stooping down for a header, the striker didnt move, he landed badly. I hope the poor fellows alright. I come back to hear of Bullard's orrible injury and a Hinckley player collapsing. I hope all three re-cover fully from the injuries.

Now to the silly business.

I have said Keaton is a two-bob defender who if he was any good would be in the current Soton side with an experience Burley in charge. Same old self-destruct City in process.

I have said to many people that our lack of goals is not down to the lack of quality up front. Fryatt and co will score when provided with the chances. Its the lack of midfield spark, I thought today Johnson would be chasing shadows and Hughes is too lightweight for this division. Low although a good crosser, is a bit naive in his positioning and Porter struggles with his height.

Well what to sort out the probelm? Drop Keaton and put Maybury back in his actual position. Keep Low and Porter, they provide width. Midfield for me would be Weso and Williams. I'd like to see a loanee come in here, could of gone for Koumas at the correct time. The probelmtic left-back spot was never dealt with and this position remains an issue. Strikers I have no probelms with but I would play Hume against Hull for the pure reason, hes a livewire and the Hull defence (two-bob as it is) would much prefer height against them than speed. Luckily enough their most dangerous player got sent-off today, Parkin.

This was a match that was full of crap. Only our defence can walk away with heads held high.
Do we have a midfield, I didnt see one today.
Do we have an attack, didn't see that either.

Kentons own goal seemed to be a move that suggested to me he has no confidence in the goalie, although Hendo did a couple of useful saves, but he was still shakey with crosses and corners.

O'Grady looked out of his depth too and looked like a lump, something what I have been saying for ages now, and there was a few in the crowd now starting to doubt him too. Fryatt was no better and the more I see of him the more I believe he cannot read the games he plays in. There is no understanding between any of the players.

In short my MOM was Paddy Kisnorbo again.....

I agree with what you said except for MF i think if we give him the ball to feet, he can do something special, we have seen him produce magic but that is down to him get the ball of someone because i dont think any of our players can pass the ball straight to feet they always screw short passes and long balls are negative and useless

MF had the ball to his feet on several occasions today and did feck all. He does not seem to work well with any strickers apart from Hume, so why not keep with them two. OG is just a squad player at the very best. I keep waiting and hoping for him to prove me wrong, but I will wait forever I think

it was grim a long hard season in the offering. only slight positive the defence looked ok but they do not have confidence in the keeper. hence Kenton with the OG

Exactly who are Co?...Hammond,O'Grady aren't proven Goalscorers and Hume isn't an out and out Striker. We should have got a target man its plain to see,Fryatt would do fine with an experiences Target Man alongside him IMO.

I think O'Grady and Hume are capable to scoring goals at this level IMO but Hammond hes fecking awful. No complaints. As I have mentioned we should have sorted the probelm in the summer with a target man.

My view of the free kick in the first half that hit Hendos bar:

Completely agree with this, but there is no chance Maybury is going to play infront of Stearman. Maybury hasn't even featured on the bench recently.

Hume seems to be dropping too deep for my likling, in order to go and search for the ball in Midfield. He is basically plaing as an attacking mid - and this doesn't work when you have the likes of a tired C'OG next to you because he doesn't have the skill to take players on and slot it home. Intstead Hume should be playing off the last defender, looking to break free, as he did with his goal earlier in the season.

Incidently I was reading in the last home prog that Fryatt has the most offsides in the Championship, and TBH I think this is down to a current lack of fitness.

Apart from scoring an own goal Kenton does an okay job as right back considering it's not his natural position, infact our current back 4 is not the problem they are pretty solid most of the time although Nissa needs to be bit more adventurous and get balls along the flanks to Porter. The Baggies were poor and we had all the posession in the first half but we once again failed to use the width and put decent balls into our front men. Low got into their box more times than Fryatt in first half and O'Grady should have tried shooting rather than trying to get round defenders. Kisnorbo and Porter wrere our best players today IMO and Hendo did well for a change.

WTF were you doing at that end if the ground??

Were you next to Henry hornblower?
We wasn't far from him, he was a tad more towards the corner flag. We were in direct line the the right hand edge of the goal mouth (Don't know what that line is called)
