OK, am I the only person on this board who thinks Maybury was OK and outside the box with his tackle, and who also thinks he had a great game today?
Soz, I know he is hated on this board. I don't agree. Statler and Waldorf sitting behind me, who are the biggest dissers of LCFC generally, also didn't get on his case, amazingly, but like me they don't like the wuss that is S Hughes. Shoes? Why doesn't he Hughes them? He don't do tackles, he can't do open goals, he wanders around like a blue and white helium balloon zoning out most of the time. He's a blonde. Says it all.
I thought Maybury and AJ and Porter were jointly men of the match, and Jarrett promised much and gave little. The rest did their job well.
Good result, but could have been better if it wasn't for Urea-taking Rennie.

Yup, great! Doing a fast-track PhD in 2 years, and just had to present an international football trophy to a team of lesbians
. They were OK, actually, despite my concerns. Apart from that, doing my usual stuff. Being, ahem, contentious. But this Maybury hatred on the board is getting me down. He had a great game. The guys I sit in front of are Wallace and Grommit with a near-death attitude. They hate LCFC, they hate almost every player (thank goodness we sold Josh) and always scream 'Pass it to Porter!' and then yell if he fails to control it. They hate. So why do they bother to control their Zimmers to get into the Debenture stand? Why don't they just beat up their nearest and dearest and give us all a break?

Hughes was a bag of wank. Never in the right position. Gifted two free headers and couldn't even put on target. Johnson often battled to win the ball, looked up, saw a huge space on the right wing and no fecking Hughes to pass to!
Maybury WAS good in the second half but it was a stupid, senseless tackle to give away the penalty, and it dangerously gave WBA a big lift for 10-15 minutes.
