But surely the overriding point is that simply he is'nt good enough with the ball to justify being a work shy get, and isn't good enough for any team in the country either to accomodate him and if they can, eg a Top Premier team, why have Williams not a better version?!

I am not saying that he can justify being work shy, all I am trying to say is that is not part of his game, and because we play at a high tempo he doesnt fit in with our pattern of play, Williams is more the type of player who likes to get his foot on the ball and slow the tempo, when the ball is pinging about he isnt effective and the game passes him by.

IMO and before anyone slates me, I am not alluding that he should be playing for a top European side, but Williams would be ideally suited to European football, slow tempo and neat and tidy passing, he certainly isnt suited for the all energy, cut and thrust of championship football.

I agree with your sentiments Dunc, but I am just stating the case that Williams has his playing style and IMO his style of play is more suited to a different formation / playing style.

Fair play, I'd state the case the bloke thinks he is better than he actually is and in reality unless he works hard (which to be fair he has done in a few games) he simply isn't good enough for any team.

agree with everything you have said

there is no way anybod can say he is a poor player.

the best midfielder we have imo. we just don't use him to our advantage.

Your opinion is not one shared by most people! He is talented but that doesn't make him any good.

I'd pick Joey, Weso, Hughes, Welsh, Maybury ahead of him if they were fit.

I really don't get what people see in Williams as a whole. In talent terms he is perhaps up there, but then there are a lot of talented players who are a bag of shit.

i agree. same goes for Smith. got the ability, but got the wrong attitude.

Our midfield always looked knackered to me, always chasing the opposition rather than facing them. May be because we play too many long balls and they get fecked chasing them, but Hull's midfield were lively and committed most of the game, they passed it slickly and pressed our blokes when we had the ball.

We havent looked the real deal in midfield that often this season.

WE didn't pick up any 2nd phase balls off parkin or elliott, that was a big negative all game.

Williams has talent but all too often is willing to jog around and watch the game pass him by. He isn't suited to this division and it remains to be seen if he is suited to a higher level. You have to question his desire to succeed when he wont adapt his game to try and make a success at this club.

Good goal against Bolton though. :icon_lol:

I think our Midfield is a big problem area which when JG leaves will become an even bigger problem especially if Wesolowski doesn't come back 100%.Needs a total rebuild probably.

I saw a site with all three goals on this morning - I think it's disgusting!! I know that nobody will be interested in seeing them so I'm not expecting any pm requests for the URL.

I don't know whether to report it to the club or the foxes trust or something. perhaps somebody could advise.

and the goalkeeper has football pie all over his face! :038:

that was probably the greatest goal I have ever seen a Leicester player score @ Walkers stadium

shame he's doin one at the end of the season....
