Yep, can't wait for the new Arcade Fire album, their debut was fantastic.

what's the new stuff sounding like hazz?

Maps is a cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs song.....so I aint got a clue and a very good cover at that. March-May their second album is set to drop.

I personally reckon Funeral is the only classic album from the last two years. I said Go! Team was the best album of 2005 but I'd said Arcade Fire now, simply because it hits an incredible peak of being quite beautiful but at the same easily 'sing-a-long'. It never seems pretenious despite it having all the ingredients of it and has made the cross-over incredibly well.

Though, the Monkeys release was a cracker, I wonder whether I will be saying that in a years time.

However, I did get an inside scoop on Bloc Party's second album which I know was leaked at the time I got a preview copy.

It's very average, starts very well but doesnt keep up the pace. I think it will be a good singles album but it seems wrongly tracklisted and poorly put together.

What about Sufjan Steven's Illinois & Joanna Newsom's new one is amazing and gets better and better on every listen

They sound like another band trying to sound like eighties indie stuff. Their current single reminds me of the bravery and the killers.
From what I've heard they don't stand out as being better than or different to a lot of stuff at the moment.

What do you know ?:icon_wink
Everything doesn't have to be 'different' and from what you've heard being one single I take it?
