As for Manc day, I could spend the rest of my life listening to only JD, the Smiths, New order & The Fall, I've never got into The Roses, Happy Mondays, Charlatens or Oasis though

In fact Manc Day in the selection commitee process decided to restrict it to a 3 hour listen spot. I'll post the records I play.

Cool, I got GOF's Entertainment! for Christmas and i love it! Any other of their albums that are worth checking out?

The next bands i want to check out are Wire, Fugazi and Husker Du

Enterainment, what an album. When it gets to Damaged Goods, it takes off from there. The blueprint for so many bands nowadays.

Solid Gold their follow-up is a decent album, they seem to go downhill from there, I found Solid Gold difficult to find and they have recently reformed and starting playing, they released an album but it was remixes and re-recordings.

Wire's 'Pink Flag' Totaly wonderfull, 'Chairs Missing' & '154' are rather challenging at first.

You've already had recommendations for the excellent Wire so for Fugazi I'd suggest you start with 13 Songs which contains the essential Waiting Room and for the Dü you could pick any of them, all quality, but Warehouse Songs and Stories and New Day Rising are particularly fine.
