Time for a list in the manner of Spionfox or Jeff.

Detroit Cobras - Shout Bamalama
The Glavins - Moscovite
The Vaccines - Melody Calling
Space - Neighborhood
The Rutles - Get Up And Go
Public Service Broadcasting - Signal 30
Milk Kan - Bling Bling Baby
Monochrome Set - He's Frank (original Rough Trade single version (the best))
Kasabian - Shoot the runner
Johnny Cash - One piece at a time
Idlewild - Everything flows (TFC cover version)
Humosexual - Bottom time
Flamin' Groovies - Shake some action.

A list of songs playing that shouldn't create too much agro from the rest of the family.

Only three of those would appear on any of my playlists!

Aw, only three?
Go on then, Kasabian, Johnny Cash, & Space by any chance?

Not bad! The Vaccines were the other one although I do also have an album by Public Service Broadcasting!

(Was going to write PSB but that is also somebody else!)

Fine stuff. I put PSB when I first put in the list and had a change of mind when I looked at it!

Public Service Broadcasting's new album, The Race For Space is very very good IMO. I'll be catching them on their current tour as well, very entertaining live they are.

In fact I played the whole album, which is great, by the way.

Steven Wilson - hand.cannot.erase (album)

Sorry kids, back to 1990 for me. A record I've not played for donkeys.

The second Mega City Four LP - 'Who Cares Wins'.

Who were Mega City Four? you ask. Well, Green Day copied MC4 totally.

Sorry kids, back even further, to 1988. Before you were born.

The Razorcuts first LP 'Storyteller'.

But who were the Razorcuts? never 'erd of them. Well, a soft soppy jangle band. They define 'Twee' music (even more twee than The Pastles).
Thank you.

Ok Ok indie kids, I'll finish off the evening with some Flatmates stuff.

Thank you Martin Whitehead. You were/are a genius/top bloke/hero. (No, not 'hero' - I don't do 'heroes')

A man in black blowing his whistle furiously accompanied by a large crowd. I think they are performing El Clássico but it's a bit hard to recognise"

Mega City 4 were wonderful. Saw them a few times - some brill gigs, some less so (Hacienda Manchester 1990-ish not good, it seems some unknown band from America called Fugazi were playing just around the corner!)

It's nearly 10 years since Wiz died. Time flies.

Crikey, I thought I was an old sod.

Anyhow, The Cramps - 'Human Fly' has just been played on the radio. 10:25am on an English radio station. Stunned.
