Mmmmm, Ice diving ... ambition of mine for next year, meanwhile I'll settle for the Red Sea ... nice and warm. Hopefully Mrs SJN will be doing the PADI course whilst we're there, assuming she can get the necessary medical clearance.
(And Melts, my drysuit and Weazle keeps me nice and toastie, even in Stoney Cove with a water temp of 2 degrees!!!).

Get her doing the BS-AC course before you go, this way she will enjoy the diving more when you get to the Red Sea. Do all the open water skills over there, with you as the instructor, will save you a bundle in cash as well.

The problem is that we don't have the pool now from Easter. She started the course with Camel a couple of years ago but went down with the Pharoahs revenge and didn't finish it. She's got all the workbooks and DVD n stuff so I'm gonna work through all that with her before we go so she only has the 2 days in the pool and the 2 days in the sea to worry about and to be honest, the practice will do her good, we can then have a couple of extra days diving together. (all this is dependent on her getting the medical clearance first though!!)

Yes ,i find i have more freedom to move in water ,as i said ive not been diving for years now but still would like too ice dive one day ,my disability will always be with me ,but i try not to let it get in the way as much as i can .
