I have a number of good male friends, all strictly platonic. The above came to mind as I'd had a call from him, he was bored as his g/f was away, as was my o/h (he didn't know that when he rang, which was to organise something else) and I just thought how nice it would have been to go out for a bite to eat (I'm not talking candle lit dinner), a drink and a laugh, as I would have done with one of my girlfriends had they called.

I've been married almost 20 years, been 100% faithful in that time, am very happy with the situation and no plans to change it. Actually I'm sure my o/h would trust me and this guy but I live in a small town and I know other people would talk.

or maybe they want/expect you to do everything with them and go everywhere with them and are put out when you want to do something on your own/with someone else

I'm an insanely jealous boyfriend, with no particularly good reason. I have got a lot better, but when she was away at Uni I was a nightmare.
