I'm an insanely jealous boyfriend, with no particularly good reason. I have got a lot better, but when she was away at Uni I was a nightmare.

I get jealous with good reason but I know its wrong and its an ugly trait.

i don't get why it's wrong

wrong as in unjustified or wrong as in wrong in general

If someone is betrayed in the past by someone then is it not wrong for them not to allow the new person they are with not to go out etc because of what the other person did to them.Or is that not jealousy:icon_conf or more likely do you not understand a word I'm talking about:102:

i'd say if there was previous infidelity, jealous is right and justified

relationships though, what do i know

I wouldnt agree with not letting that person go out, as you cant tar everyone with the same brush, but understandably they would be jealous/worried of that happening again.

Like I said its not a nice thing but its understandable

It's even harder when the infidelity is by the same person as the current person. Forgiving and moving on is very very tricky

You mean if the person betrayed the partner with the same person twice ? Its like Trisha on here isn't it ?

If jealousy can be handled correctly then it's a wonderful emotion to possess, it also sends nice signals to your partner and the relationship can grow.

If handled incorrectly, then justified or unjustified jealousy can destroy a relationship.

Jealousy without justification is just bollox, and is usually the trait of a control freak or a bully.

Real jealousy ****ing hurts, and a loving partner will see that and do their best to help you as opposed to making it worse.

No, if the person betrayed, but was taken back. It is hard to trust the betrayed, but if you take them back in my opinion you have no real right to be jealous. If you can't deal with it don't take them back. Easier said than done though, and I'm glad I did

Have you been watching SmEggheads? Or whatever it is called. All the reasoning that they, and the challengers in particular, does my head in, just answer the bloody question.

It is funny when the Bigheads do the reasoning and get it wrong!:081::098::icon_evil
