Did you deliberately choose to watch a game between two terrible teams out of habit after watching City for so many years?

(Wrigley Field is a stadium I'd love to go to by the way)

Not really, it's just the game we can get to, last year was Miami and the year before Boston.

I was joking really BB, the only baseball game I've been to out there was a minor league game (although I did teach Glenn Hoddle the rules of the game as he was there too, and was England manager at the time :icon_bigg). Although I'm a bigger American Football and basketball fan than baseball, I'd still love to go.

Just got back from Schlagermove Hamburg.

It was quite simply fantastic.

Blondie and Lightning Seeds last Saturday.

Ian Broudie did an acoustic set that showed he still has a decent voice but that his songs lose a hell of a lot without full accompaniment!

Debbie Harry is 67 but still had the crowd eating out of the palm of her hand. Two other members of the original line up were on stage (Chris Stein and Clem the drummer) and there was another guitarist who did a frankly wonderful guitar solo during 'Atomic'.

Excellent and enjoyable (rain free) evening.

The only downside was staying over in Rugeley. What a depressing dump the town centre there is.

I saw Blondie a couple of years back in Southend. Clem Burke is one of the best drummers I've heard live.

He's as mad as a March hare. He had a perspex shield around him so that his frequently thrown (and caught!) drumsticks didn't hit anyone I suppose!

You can see a short clip of him behind his screen in the following video:

Jimmy Carr this evening at DMH. Amazingly funny, wasn't sure I'd like him.

I'm going to the O2 tomorrow night. What's it like getting out at the end of the night and on to the tube? I'm assuming it's pretty manic but just trying to get an idea of what I'm in for.

I'm going Sunday night - from memory when I was last there, the tubes run really frequently as they want to get the crowds away quick. Didnt really have an issue getting back into central London at all.

Last time I was there, the tube was closed for service. Took me more than an hour and a half to get back to Central London on a double decker bus
