Hume for Sylla and thats the best team if we are playing 4-4-2 :038:

Maybe thats the way to go. He's played there before and has the skill and pace requried. Feck it, go with that.

I'm no fan of Tiatto either, but who are the canditates to replace him?

Porter - unproven at championship level and will struggle physically
Low - Right footed, no place in 16 on saturday
Hughes - Right footed, unimpressive in that position

Bloody hell, we need a left midfielder!!

I agree with Alex, Kenton has more of the attributes to play left back than nisse, and then Nisse should be our 3rd choice CB.

Who else thinks its a good idea to start with Kenton at left back tomorrow?

Can't be any worse but the best idea would have been to get in a left sided player in the close season.

Porter would struggle physically IF anyone can catch him!!

We have needed a left midfielder for years now.

Well at present we are playing 2 right backs and losing. Give the lad another chance. Although Hume could be the answer there. Allows us to get O'Grady in the 11 ;)

We have no physical presence up front atm. Neither Hume or Fryatt are paticuarly good at winning headers.

O'Grady will give the defenders something else to think about, and we keep the flair and skill of Hume on the right.

He won't be any worse than Maybury and as mentioned before played there for Tranmerre.

Thats not the worst idea actually. He's had all the chances he deserves,he puts absolutely no effort in at all and never has done.

I think the line up tomorrow night will speak volumes about Kelly. Same or very similar 11 (just accomodating Kisnorbo) and I worry about us this season.

maybe the line up will be very similar he might give those a chance to right all those wrongs and if not then changes could/should be made for the ipswich game :102:

So do I Durham and that was before Saturday, still think we haven't solved last seasons problems and our signings were 'dissapointing' IMO.

I don't think there's a lot of option with signings when you have no money... my opinion is that Rob Kelly has done the best he can with regard to finances we have. You have to pay for quality..

It's a real shame, I honestly think we have some fantastic players all over the pitch but we just don't seem to have a 'team'.. just 11 individuals.

Maybe but he knew we were short on the left when he got in Welsh on loan but then failed to get in a left footed player

I did not see all the game BUT what I did see did not fill me with much hope for any promotion this season.

Some of our play reminded me of the 1st half of the Lincoln game.

We have no width and those players out there are really only defenders. I have criticised Sylla in the past but I'm sure he could have done better on the right as he did in the 2nd half of the Lincoln game.

Also O'Grady is much better at holding the play up and bringing players into the game and I think should have started.

I like most on this forum (probably) can accept losing if I can see that the team has done their very best. Unfortunately I don't see any indication that they have from the last performance (if you can call it that).

I have also been scratching my head trying to remember who we used down the left last season after Smith left us. Why have we changed this and reverted to Danny Tiatto. Our form towards the end of last season clearly shows that whatever we were doing was not broken and did not merit fixing. Can we revert back to the formation we were using (with the exception of Joey of course:frown: ) instead of trying to integrate Danny Tiatto!! And whilst on the subject it is pretty weak that we are using a right back in Maybury and a left back in Tiatto as our two wing men...as full backs they are naturally inclined not to get forward.

Somethings gotta give!
