Can't believe no one has done this poll yet.

In the pub as usual!

Was hoping NOT to have to do this but life goes on, Mike Newell, if we could get him, would be my choice !

Strachan for me by a mile, don't think he'd come though, but he might.

Hang on a minute. I thought it was Vote JF?

Strachan wants the Scotland job and will get it when they don't win on Wednesday

While I agree with you Highland, a little bird told me Walter Smith was in line...

With the possible exception of Joe fox, can we actually aford any of the above? Won't Luton want £££ for releasing Newell? (Anyone know his contract details?) Won't the likes of Strachan and McAlister want wages we can't afford, especially if they want to bring their own backroom staff in?

Last time I heard him Strachan said he wasn't ready for the day to day runnng of a club which isn't a problem with an international job.I'd like to see him here but I don't think its going to happen.I'll be listening out for any 'whispers' up here, especially regarding Craig Levein.

A little birdie told me that Vogts will be at the Walkers on Thursday. Oh shit.

I love little birds
They're at a very convenient height, if you know what I mean

I'd go with that. The bloke's had a bit of class as a player and there are signs he'll have it as a manager too.

Keown would be better than a lot because he's a winner but he's never going to have City in his blood to my second choice would be a surprise...I'd go for Steve Claridge.

He's got City blood in him and I'm sure he just love to shove another one right up the doubters' anuses.

Claridge has always been a character but he always delivered too in a City shirt and besides we need a character to put bums back on the Walkers seats and a smile back on their faces.

Houlier? What f.....g connection has he got to LCFC?. Was he renowned for free-slowing, attacking, fearless football even with some of the world's best players at his disposal?

In order I'd go for Newell, Claridge, Keown. I'd think we'd soon be winning again with any of them. Strong characters with a touch of class that's the answer. I don't see Strachan or McAllister in this mould or a good many others shining their CV's on the managerial merry-go-round.

Heres are a list I DO NOT want to see in the Home managers dugout at the Walkers Stadium:

Jon Barnes
Steve Walsh
Gazza
Jon Gregory
Glen hoddle?? (I have no legs)
Bassett
Cork
A Woman
Julian Clarey

i wonder how Houllier would do at the walkers....if he wanted to come but i very much doubt it.

I think Strachan is the baby we want! :D :)

While I agree Tony (and normally do with your posts) I think the work Strachan did at Southampton was superb, and the team spirit created excellent.

I would like to see Newell here too mind, good connections with the club, good young manager...

Suddenly I feel excited, it's a whole new day...

Disagree with Claridge. Anyone see that documentary surrounding I think Weymouth where the chairmen built some super stadium to house the massive 150 crowd they attract. Also bough int Claridge as a player manager. He was shocking! They went bust and didnt get anywhere within 2 seasons.

The boy done good, cracking shinner, not management for me.
