I'm relying on Public transport.The train from Fort William to Glasgow takes 4 hours,2 hour wait in Glasgow,Train to Preston then another train to Bolton.Leave here 7am arrive Bolton 5.30pm.

If you get the 7:35 train from Fort William you should arrive at the ground just after 3PM.

But that only allows about 40 minutes in Glasgow. I am sure Highland was allowing a little extra time for his visits to various 'eastablishments' as he transfers from Queen Street to Central.

I had to get a later train from Glasgow because I wanted a cheapo Apex ticket and the earlier ones were all booked up as far as cheap tickets go and I live 25 miles from Fort William so I've got to get there for the train hence leaving here at 7 ish.
As that cleared it up for everybody ? I didn't expect a spanish inquisition..

The last train leaves Glasgow for Fort William at 6pm and if you are talking about the Sleeper its booked up about 3 months in advance.

No it's not. There are sleeper berths available for your journey, I've just checked.

And in the unlikely event that the berths were all full on a Wednesday night in November you'd still be able to get a seat.
