BN I respect your analytical approach, and you make a very good argument. No doubt Dyche gives the impression he is a no nonsense manager I hope it's more than that, our prima donna's need a dose of reality he might just provide that, so taking a practical approach I'm with you. However Ancelotti still sneaks ahead, based on his incredible managerial career . But I would be happy with Dyche.
Can we please stop talking about Ancelotti as though it’s actually a possibility?

There’s more chance of me getting a soapy tit wank from Kelly Brook.

Our feckwits won't get further than Appleton.....

Round and round and round we go
Where we’re gonna stop nobody knows
Something's wrong, I feel it in my soul
Round and round and round and round we go

I don't think we will get him but I think Mancini is on the list.

Specially this bit:

"And what if they went down?
Just do it again in another tier, as they have done previously. Enjoy the crack of winning football matches again and come back up.
It’s simple.
Burnley did it."

It's ****ery, it's a requirement when working for such a shitrag of a paper.

The bloke clearly knows **** all about football or he's cashing in at the expense of his actual views.

Absolutely no point reading anything in the sports pages of any of the red tops. Ever. The times I have done over the years I've usually felt like my intelligence is being freely insulted. Simplistic drivel aimed at people with a mental age of about 12. So pretty much like all their other content really. It's like reading a Panini sticker album, only it's more reliant on pictures.

I've read a few articles about us this morning and my head hurts from the sheer volume of bullshit written about our club. Is is really that difficult to be a journalist these days? Information is easily accessible if you can be bothered chaps.

Apparently, Rudkin wanted Wagner in the summer and tried his best and failed to get him so we were stuck with keeping Shakespeare for the time being. I also read that Shakespeare had told the players at half time on Monday that they needed to win or he'd be sacked. Which doesn't gel with the 'shock' about his departure really. The players are 'angry, shocked and upset' too apparently.

Nobody has a clue who the club want as a replacement now though. Perhaps because the club don't know either.

All the money is going on two candidates - Coleman and Dyche - despite there really being nothing from anyone of note that suggests that they know anything. The only candidate that has 'let it be known' that he wants the job is Pardew.

It feels a bit like another long drawn out process is ahead. With no real idea of the outcome.

Meanwhile, I get the sneaky feeling that Koeman will be out of Everton and Dyche in there whilst we fiddle with ourselves.

I'd like to see a complete overhaul. A plan to adopt a particular playimg philosophy combined with a focus on developing youth. A combination of what Swansea once did and what Southampton continue to do domestically. The club as a business is probably in the strongest position it has ever been. If ever there was an opportunity to do the above then it is now.

If we are to head in that direction there are talented coaches in the likes of Rodgers, Wagner or Monk who would fit the bill if it were agreed that we adopt a progressive, high pressing philosophy. But there are other philosophies and there will be other names. I want us to have a long term playing identity, one which is attractive to watch and one which is complemented with a drive to bring through local kids.

We won't go in that direction and that's no disaster. Just a personal preference. There are other managers out there who can do a job without it. Dyche, Wilder, Howe. Just not ****ing Coleman or Pardew, please.

Careful with the baby, the bath water's not even cold.

I see no need for 'root and branch' renewal. We've actually got some quite good players really, even if they might be in the band of brothers (though, tbh, I was never quite sure who that included though I'm presuming one has already gone) All that's needed is a new new philosophy (Shakespeare wasn't enough of a shake-up and was just more of the same, the continuity aspect - potato wedges anyone? - being presumably what appealed) Yes, there needs to be a wake-up call given, some complacency shaken, but I think that can be achieved with a strong manager being appointed. It might seem like the end of the world at the moment but in reality it's just the same old carp that all clubs go through from time-to-time. A new manager, a string of good performances and points and the smiles will come back.

As for changes within the club structure, I can't see what any of us thinks on that one being given too much ear time. It's a business; they pay lip service and do what they think is best.
