If it is confirmed, lets give him a chance, I remember Ranieri's appointment being met with derision and disbelief. Puell he isn't a 'big' name, but he has a good record in his previous roles. Almost everyone talks about his time at Southampton, which from a playing perspective wasn't good. However unlike his time on the south coast he has some very decent players available this time around, and being French who knows perhaps our little French magician might be persuaded to stay a little longer.

In defense of Puel, just before he joined, Southampton sold Mane, Pelle, Fonte and Wanyama. They also lost Van Dijk for 2 months of the season and Charlie Austin for a good proportion of the season.
I think that would cripple most teams.
