The loans factor also adds to the complexities and time scales. There will be players in whom we are interested who are at clubs who need to sort out their own priorities before deciding if they can sell us or loan us the players we want.

I also notice that the cash richness of the Premier League clubs is being reflected in the fees that are being quoted in the mediafor their slightly over the hill players - so the market for us and other ambitious Championship clubs looks quite difficult.
