I've not been to Leicesterfor some time now. What have they recently done with the old Filbert Street site? the bit that doesn't have a road on it and student flats? It was looking a bit shabby when I last looked.

I think Highfield Road was redeveloped with housing but they kept the centre circle as a kids football pitch. I think the old Filbo site should have ACV.

still some open ground towards the Filbert Street. Looking at what has been built, it looks like the builder may have had the same problem City did years ago with building regulations. (Law of the light, I think it's called).

They shouldn't have much problem squeezing a few hundred houses per square inch. The right to light would have been an issue if they wanted several tower blocks though.
