I have a bottle of Yellow Tail. The lady of the house exclaimed that she can buy it from her "local gas station for four bucks"....

I like Jacobs Creek Vintage Shiraz's and Cassilla del Diablo? also i like McGuigans private bin.

I bought a shed load the other day to go through, i'll report my findings.

Standard order in my basket is 6 of each.

At the upper end of the reasonably priced wines I concur with the choice of a Barolo, or a predictable Chateauneuf de Pape.

If shes from California I can well believe it. Doesn't mean its not tasty though

Try loads and see what you like.
I''m fecking lucky in that I like light, fruity reds that tend to be cheap. I also chill my red for at least 3 hours first too.
Try a vin de pay d'herault, you should get 1 for about 3 or 4 quid from tescos or sainsburys, stick it in the fridge and use it for general quaffing, it would get overpowered with strong foods.

Also, if you are in the Czech Republic during the fall you must try Burčák. Essentially it is fermented wine. It looks like orange juice, but it has a strong kick to it.

Faustino is also very good, though the Faustino I is very heavy.

I won a case of that in a raffle and agree it is heavy going, but I tend to persevere.. :icon_bigg

Tesco used to do their own import of a wine called Four Emus that was spectacular, but alas they do it no more

I bought this in Somerfield in Blaby a few months ago. It was on offer 3 for £10. I wasn't overly impressed.

If you like it though it may be worth checking in a Somerfield store when you can.
