Just thought I'd point out in response to all the sniping / defending CL going on, to my adding up, after the Preston game it will be 12 months since CL took over, at that point we had 20 points, if we win at Preston it will be 21 this season. Not exactly a major improvement :icon_conf

I really don't think the gripe we had with Adams was the points we had!!

At the time people moaned about old players, no future, no youngsters coming through, long ball, Entertainment etc etc etc. Very little about points was even mentioned to my knowledge.

All I was pointing out was that despite CL bringing in an almost completely new squad we are no better of than last year. IMHO I think we should get rid before it is too late for somebody to save us!

And other than Stearman I can't think of another youth getting a game?

BTW I am not in any way saying we need Adams back, or that Adams is better, I just don't think CL can take us any further, he has had 12 months and has done nothing.

looking at it another way.....Levein is looking for a squad without blinkers stopping his long term view. adams only ever bought players that would last until may, if that long. i think the playoffs is all we (and most of the rest of the league) are capable of, and if that doesnt happen i'd be happy to see who levein lines up in the summer.....doubt it will be keown or someone like that

Hume - 21, McCarthy - 21, Chambers - 15, Sheehan - 18, Weslowski - 18, Hammond - 23, Hughes - 22, Hamill - 21.

Yeah no youths in there at all.

Methinks you are a wind up merchant my ill informed friend.

I think he meant from the youth team actually getting a game.

Possibly because until CL came here we had virtually no Youth Players good enough.Players like Sheehan,Chambers,Wesolowski are at least get involved with the first team now.
you aren't serious about Tommy Wright are you? or Matt Heath?

Well there are 3 in there, which is unheard of at Leicester and its rare that many more than that make it at one time.

The blokes just wanting attention.

should free speech be granted to anyone who thinks that matt heath and tommy wright are good players?

That would mean MA wouldnt be able to give after match interviews though and talk about himself in the 3rd person :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

"that wasnt mickey adams talking in 3rd person after the game" hmm, ok mickey. i think if he was banned from doing that i wouldnt complain too much

Thanks babylon I did mean the youth team.

I assure you I am neither a wind up merchant or an attention seeker, I honestly although apparantly mistakenly thought, that I would be able to post an opinion here without being shot in the street :frown:

I personall think Heath was a good solid defender, this is no stranger than people thinking Elvis Hammond is a good striker or Alan Rogers was a good defender. There will always be players who divide opinions, surely I don't deserver to be slaughtered for likeing Heath and TW.

Maybe if I bent over and accepted what you are saying I would fit in here?

CL is doing a great job, 4 wins from 15 games (not counting the dismal end to last season) - spiffing.
MDV-astounding! Never mind the fact that 2 of his goals were against Blackpool (tho Tommy Wright scoring against that class of team is no good!). I am sure if you stood a skittle in the box and hit enough balls at it some would go in.
Hammond - One goal in his career, natural striker if you ask me!

Thanks for making a "newbie" feel welcome, it's like back at primary school, if you have a different opinion you have to play on the swings alone!

Seeing as 99% of the people who sit around me in the South Stand agree with me (certain observations of mine are from them, i just agree with them) I don't feel the need for justification from you lot. I honestly though a pleasant discussion whilst I'm at work might lighten the day up. Now I might go and burn my season ticket as I am obviously not a worthy LCFC fan.
Shame on you naughty boys

To be fair you are entitled to you opinion, however, we are also entitled to ours and the majority of people on here don't agree with you.

In my opinion, if you truly are a Leicester Fan and you've been to a number of games then you couldn't come to the conclusions you have. If you are being honest then forgive me if I don't think you know much about football.

You are forgiven

And just out of interest, how many of you would have been quite as angry at me had we performed against Cov the way we played against Burnley and lost?

The only reason you have received stick is because you say stupid things. If i suggested that IMO we have a Premiership team and we will finish in the automatic promotion places.

or

I think MDV should be playing in the Champions League and I wouldnt be surprised if Real Madrid or AC Milan made a bid for him in January

I would get similar abuse!

I think if you went on a Covscum fans forum you would see that Heath is by no means a solid defender. They have realised how poor he is and cant believe MA bought him in.
