Charlton away, at West Ham, the hope was high and we were shite.
Yep. Simply absurd to go ahead with that game.I wasn’t there but I’m surprised no one has mentioned that abomination in the snow away at Roy Keane’s Ipswich. The only reason it didn’t get called off was because the Sky cameras were there.
Was that the pitch invasion game? I was on the pitch that day.
I don't go to many away but the worst was a 4-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge before the Abramovic revolution. Best, probably a 3-2 win over Forest at the City ground. I think that one was a late Knockaert winner on the last day which meant we snook into 6th place a few years back. Another really good one I remember was a 4-3 cup game at Craven Cottage. I can't remember if we won or lost but it was a great atmosphere, James Wesolowski scored and Steve Walsh was there in the stands with the fans...
Palace 5-0 April 2018 under Puel
How did he survive that.
I don’t have a lot of experience to draw upon (clearly a part-time Pete), but I’m getting a long list of poor matches down here in South Wales in recent years most notably Ranieri’s last league game v Swansea.
Also an incredibly dire League cup match against Cardiff that went to extra time where I sat with BM, who had been on the road since about 4 in the morning to get there and had to live through ET and pens before heading home.
Heaviest defeat I saw was 5-1 at Old Trafford in the League Cup in 93. We could have won if Schmeichel has been sent off for a clear foul on Speedie at 0-0 . Had to sit with the home supporters through five long renditions of “glory glory Man Utd”.......
Cracking photo of Speedie looking upto Schmeichel in his own indomitable wayI went to that 5-1 game. Colin Hill scores a free kick.
Schmichael 100% should have been sent off.
