I want to get my account set up but my computer is in a different room to my Xbox. I'm going to go wireless soon but for the time being can I just connect my broadband router to my 360 and away I go?

Yeah you just need an ethernet cable and the 360 does the rest, theres one in the box for the 360 premium.

Incidentally, has anyone had issues with Live since the 'upgrade'?? PGR3 for example is very jerky on the opponents car, to the extent the car sometimes appears in the wrong place.

That is exactly what I've done. My router is in my front room and the PC in another. I have placed the Xbox 360 in the front room and joined it to the router via the ethernet cable

I haven't played it since the upgrade.
But I was playing "cat 'n' mouse" the other day and the mouse kept dis and then re appearing all the time, only for a split second but enough to be annoying

It's excellent, I love it to bits.
On my first level I got all the gizmo thingys and filled my bar up to achieve Jedi status, I thought it would be piss easy. I haven't done it any other level since :icon_lol:
Ive finished Star Wars and The Empire Strikes back & currently attemtping Return of the Jedi. I think I've done well at the end of each level and it tells me I have only collected 1 or 2 gizmos out of 10. Where TF are they all

I had a big update yesterday to Xbox Live, does anybody know what this was for as I can't find anything different on my dashboard.
Note - It wasn't the GOW update as I got that as well

Yeah I have had to download two updates in the only 2 days that I have had a 360!! I'm relived to here that someone else has had an update as I could fail to notice any difference from before apart from it took about 10-15 mins to download before I could play a game!!!

You won't wanna miss the updates. You won't be able to play GOW online without the new one.
Usually updates are VERY important for Xbox, but I still haven't got a scooby what Yesterdays was

I think it had something to do with the mic issue on GoW as I heard a few stories that it was because of the wireless headsets.
There are many issues with them some people are having a lot of trouble with them.
Matt - No updates MS can block you going on live and the maps will be worth it as most people for the next few days will be playing those only. If you want to join eveyone else then new maps will be required for online!

It won't be an update you will actually have to download them through the additional content section in the games options.

my laptop suddenly jumped in to life tonight to tell me it had an xbox 360 near it (it has had since it arrived in the house) am currently connecting to it and media centre is installing the extender software etc. shall report back.
