Cannot help thinking that if the Maynard deal falls through and we end up with Yakubu, it will be a bad thing.

Not because he will not score goals, but it sends the wrong message to Alan Young, The Mongs and everyone in the team, that this guy is ONLY here for a shed load of cash, and unlike everyone else in the team, that jumped at the chance to play for us, because they WANT to play for Sven.

Yakubu isn't here because after the initial interest, the club moved to another target and as I am lead to believe from a club official, there will be no going back.

Mate of mine saw Yakubu waiting for a bus at Fosse Park this morning. He says he asked him why he didn't get on the first one that came and Yakubu replied that he had to wait until after 9:30 to be able to use his bus pass.

Not at all. They only let me out at the weekend and you can use it from start of service Satdeh and Sundeh.

I have no idea, do you? Maybe he is considering fighting for his place there during their preseason?

Also do you know for a fact we were knocking down their door? What if we just made an initial enquiry and never followed it up?
