To be fair, given the same options as that again for this season - ie: who would you rather have at LCFC next season out of Robbie Fowler, DJ Campbell, Joseph Desire Job and Francis Jeffers - I'd still vote for DJ to be honest (not that I voted last time, very sensibly).

I think you are right in the sense that we have few remaining 'hot properties' - but I also think that Bifa Bacon has a good point. There may well be managers who in a more leisured approach will pick off some of our players to fill squad places etc in the next few weeks. I'm sure quite a number of players' agents will be working to line their pockets with a few transfers.

I would have thought Hume, Mattock and Stearman are all sellable at the right price.

You may be right, but I think we would be lucky to get £3million for all three of them!

Its just sad that we have always had historically some genuinely good players who we have made good money from (Heskey, Izzet etc) and these days we struggle to generate any interest because lets face it, most of them are complete gash!

Looks like I jinxed us!

But lets be fair, Stearman to Wolves, Hume to Barnsley, hardly mega bucks moves, the sad reality is that these clubs are now bigger and more appealing than us and we have to accept it.

The more I think about it, the more I realise we are going to struggle next season.

Fair point - but I still maintain that DJ looked a sensible buy...at the time.

My take is that he wanted to play for Martin Allen and went mardy after he departed.

Since that time he has been a total waste of space and we will be lucky to get anything for him.
