Just watching back the highlights of the Scunthorpe game and was massively impressed by young Andy King's involvement in one particular incident.
Martyn Waghorn slams home a super goal and wheels away ready to rip his shirt off in celebration and get a booking. Andy King hot on his heels, hold on to his shirt and makes sure he doesn't ruin getting the goal by picking up a needless booking that could have turned into a red card later in the game, ruining our chances of winning.
That's an amzingly cool head for a really young player in the heat of a goal celebration in a crucial game.

Andy King will be captain at leicester for a long time to come (when he takes over from Oakley) IMO. And i for one am glad we've got such a cool headed, goal scoring midfielder that's come through the ranks....

Up the City.

Agreed

Unfortunately he played like a complete turd, which is a shame

Which definition of legend is being used.

Is it

1. The definition of 'legend' that was applied to great players who have played a major part in the club's history e.g. Chandler, Rowley, Banks (G), Gibson (D), Shilton, Weller, Lineker, Walsh (S)

or

2. The definition of 'legend' as applied to players participating in obscure veterans competitions or qualifying for the term when introduced through the Birch at half-time and as featured on the official website from time to time who meet th broad criteria of a few first team appearances down to playing for the reserves.

...or alternatively the real meaning, which is that they are mythical, ie. never existed.

People cannot be legends.
You can have legends about a person, they can be the subject of a legend, but they can't be a legend themselves.

People cannot be legends.

legend noun 1 a traditional story which has popularly come to be regarded as true, but has not been confirmed as such. 2 such stories collectively. 3 someone famous about whom popularly-believed stories are told • a legend in her own lifetime. 4 words accompanying a map or picture, etc which explain the symbols used. 5 an inscription on a coin, medal or coat of arms. 6 originally the story of a saint's life.

Agreed. Found it funny aswell :icon_lol:

Have the impression that he tends to be non-existing in some matches, i.e. legend in these terms.
But I hope and believe he can become option 1 in Redditch's post some day (i.e. Chandler, Rowley, Banks (G), Gibson (D), Shilton, Weller, Lineker, Walsh)

People seem to get very upset about the word legend on here, and the word random. Random legends might just tip them over the edge.

you can achieve, or be descirbed as being close to achieving 'legendary status' which is when people attribute the qualities of historical legends to you in a descriptive capacity.

this is what i did earlier.

is everybody clear.....

After all of this has been spouted about him, whats the betting that Sven doesn't see him in his plans.

This is demonstrably nonsense, but I understand that you did it for comedic effect :icon_wink

Unless Sven is suddenly a complete football cretin, I think he'll be able to find room for the best player we've had since Muzzy Izzet left the club.

So Tunchev is a legend because he has a similar weakness to Achilles.

Excluding Joey of course

As much as I rate King I feel it's slightly premature to be saying that. Not that I can really think of an alternative off the top of my head
