yes they are very much so.

It makes you wonder if these threats have come as a result of seeing how bad the injury was through the media?
A broken leg is a broken leg, if they had not seen the pictures I doubt threats would have happened. Most people would have been shocked by what they saw and anger can take many different paths.
The tackle by the brum player was a freak accident. his record shows that he is not a dirty player.

Or it could have happened because Sky refused to show it which has caused more interest and made the tackle seem worse then it is. (From the perspective of the actual tackle not the break)

When Jimmy Bullard was injured by Scott Parker the tackle was shown on television and there wasnt as much uproar, you could even argue the tackle and images where a lot more shocking!

Our Protectors
Like the benevolent, caring grandpa that they are, Sky Sports decided that us poor proles were just too damn sensitive to be shown the full horrors of the world on Saturday.

They earnestly informed us that they would not be showing a replay of Eduardo's injury 'on the grounds of taste', presumably in fear of a nation of weak-bellied fairies spontaneously projectile vomiting at the sight of an injury.

And they continued this policy on Sky Sports News yesterday, showing the challenge up to the frame where the Croatian's leg snapped in two, once again protecting a grateful nation from such grevious sights.

Presumably this moral crusade would continue throughout the day, and they would stick to this policy forever and ever amen.

It seems not.

Once the Eduardo horrificness was dealt with, they proceeded to put on loop a montage of similiarly horrific injuries to Alan Smith, Djibril Cisse and, of course David Busst.

So thank you grandad Sky. We're all safe in our beds now.
