I can confirm that Jan Vertonghen was NOT on the list I sent to Sven-Goran Eriksson on Wednesday 4th May 2011, the player who moved to another Club in the week is a striker, and I am deeply upset about it because he would have been a fantastic asset to the team.

I'm not going to give the exact price but it was more than a million, I didn't quote Sven any price, but we would have easily been able to afford him, it'll just really depress me if he does well where he's gone to .
