So will the clubs receive a list of black men that they can select from to interview?

Or is it simply a case of loads of black men are applying for all management jobs and are being ignored by racist club owners.

How does a forced interview change this?

I've heard they're going to be press-ganging black lads from the local job centre and forcing them to go for an interview under threat of having their dole money cut.
It's shocking, it really is

According to the piece, the answer to question 1 looks like "that's one of the things the plot is doing."

According to the campaign for this measure, the answer to question 2 looks like "partially, although the subtler prejudice I mentioned above seems more culpable."

According to the success of the rule in the US, the answer to question 3 looks like "It does"

Yes, that would be shocking, wouldn't it.

Nobody wants 'tokenism', but, as stated, in the US it has had a positive effect.
What is your answer then? Wait until Chairman decide actually that 'they' may know a bit about football? Maybe you just don't care that a sport with so many black players produces so few black managers/coaches.
There have been numerous pieces on TV and in print about this, plenty of ex players telling of applying for jobs but not even getting interviews. And plenty of them say they decide the constant disappointment is too much, and so stop applying and leave the game. This has been shown to work in the states. I can't see why you would be so quick to argue against it, yet not address the central issue.

In answer to the question I refer you to the 1st part of your reply.

We dont seem to have a real answer as to why there aren't as many black managers in the game so fixing the issue with 'tokenism' is a guess solution.

How many black people are applying for the jobs? How does this compare to the amount of white candidates? Is the current amount in work representative of this ratio?

I just dont like the forced nature of it, but I cant offer an alternative as its not really my specialist area.

Do you not find that quite shocking, in a way?

Yep. But as the clubs/franchises are owned for the most part by white middle aged men, it's hardly a surprise.

Poor people forced to apply for jobs they are not qualified for to meet the requirements to receive a handful of pennies for food - every Jobcentre in Britain every day.

I still don't get what all this have to do with Wayne Rooney. Is it something similar to Fergie time?

I thought of Ron Atkinson. Does that mean every club needs to interview an orange manager now?

I though of the cover to Football Manager 15. Does that mean every club needs to interview a man with half a head?

Should there also be more disabled managers?
