If one of our key players has a release clause then I doubt Rodgers would have made such a categorical statement that no-one will leave. If one exists it's possible it doesn't allow a January move or there are other conditions that haven't triggered.

The LM guy said so the other week. I don't know who it is and the club don't allow them unless they've no choice, but I'd not be surprised and it would be an odd thing to say if it wasn't true.

If so, the most likely candidates given the situation at the time of signing would be Ricardo or Tielemans I guess.

I hope whomever it is they sign a new contract without a release. The thing is that we are happy to play ball with other sides, just not be raped for the price.
