    Spare Newcastle ticket

Hello all. I've got a spare ticket going for the Newcastle game in SK1, £20 if anyone is interested. I'm going with three others so it was cheaper to go for the 5 tickets for £99 deal than buy 4 seperately, hence the spare. If anyone is interested please drop me a PM. Apologies if this is in...

The Edit Desk for the official site (help us to help them)

Re: more typos on the official site There is a difference between a typo and something written by someone with no command of the English language... The stuff on the OS is appallingly written.

    Ex-players and managers

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for) I was sat behind Little at the game, Gainsborough were awful. I was so tempted to shout "what you need to do now is stick Rooster Russell on..." Was a bit weird seeing my first managerial hero in the non-leagues.

    Gradel to Leeds

Are we getting a bit overexcited here? He's made an impact in a League One game which, if i recall correctly, he also did a fair few times for us last season. Even Stephen Hughes looked half decent in that game, although he still can't tackle for toffee.

    Hinckley United

He wasn't even good enough for Telford in Conference North. Bin him off to the Unibond where he belongs.

    Andy King to Villa?

Short-term thinking and unneccessary moaning. I can't understand why anyone would even slightly entertain the idea of selling King when he is only 20, was magnificent on the whole last season and is only going to get better. And if O'Neill is interested, it backs that up. He's hardly what...

    Bill Anderson Retires Today

Yeah I think it is Steve Pumfrey - met him at the Westerby Cup final the other day, top bloke. I've done some work experience on a couple of dailies and you're right, it is a bit cushy - I think one or two stories a day are expected and the rest is spent watching Sky Sports News!

    Bill Anderson Retires Today

I know that to a great extent, what he does and doesn't write is governed by the relationship between club and paper. It's a difficult balance because on one side you want to get the good stories, but you have be careful not to upset the apple cart too much, or the people who provide your...

    Ex-players and managers

Re: Ex-players (the thread nobody's been waiting for) Bit late, but I watched Andy Johnson and Julian Joachim play for King's Lynn at Hinckley last week. I won't hear a word against JJ, but Johnson was utterly useless, even for Conference North level. Reminded me of the similarly crap-haired...

    Sappleton on loan to Telford

I was at the Hinckley v Telford game last night. Sappleton played for 78 minutes and was hopeless, although the wind was so bad it made the game a bit of a farce at times. His first touch was awful, he didn't hold the ball up well, and to round it off he got a yellow for stupidly kicking the...

    Hartlepool Away

Certainly makes next Saturday's trip to concrete cow town more fruity, doesn't it? Can't wait!

    Mark Bunn

No puns here, just a comment on the player. Seen him play for Northampton twice, very impressed. Should do just fine for us.

    Bolton look for Davies

Having just watched the Bolton highlights on MOTD, he set up one, nearly scored a couple and looked easily good enough for that standard. Good luck to the lad, shame he's playing for Megson, that's the thing which grates most.

    Davies Loan Extended

Sadly I understand from my mate at the Mercury, who often hears whispers just before they are confirmed, that Davies to Bolton is a done deal. Tomorrow will apparently be his last game and the detestable ginger will move on Monday. Just as well Big Nige got Cleverley in when he did - only...

    Tunchev's leg

Gutted about this but I'm happy with Morrison and we shouldn't sell him short. He's a young lad who has comfortably made the step up from the Conference to a top League One side and hasn't once looked out of place. Sure, he makes the odd mistake and he likes a hoof. But we aren't going to be...
