Too true. I think the authorities should clear out nearly everyone! My boss admitted to taking a flask with whisky in it into the Family Stand. He was most surprised when I told him it was illegal.

Hilarious! A group of young fans trying to get behind the team. Side-splitting. Obviously everyone else is really happy with the current atmosphere. Top of the league (albeit the Third Division), and still we have the communal groan at a misplaced pass, booing at the end if we haven't won...

Doesn't it cost more in there ? Traditionally the more vocal support stands behind the goal; it's where I prefer to view the match. I think the call to "move the Kop" should really be addressing if there are enough vocal types who would like to be together behind the goal, and if this can be...

I bought my ST when we first moved to the Walkers and it was advertised as "the new Kop, full of noise and atmosphere". It didn't mention blankets, flasks and a majority who can't be bothered to get behind their team until they are 4-0 up. Or people actually taking the piss out of someone on...

Good! Plug the footy fixtures into the computer, then give the rugby the alternate Saturdays. Sorted. No Tigers fans clogging up the pubs ( or the roads for ten minutes after the match). There's no reason why this decision should be a problem.

Beer in the pub for me. I like Real Ale, so that counts out most places that are only used once a week or so, as it needs looking after (and needs drinking) regularly. I prefer a traditional pub atmosphere, where you know the landlord, can chat with regulars etc, rather than a bar which seems...

I was attempting to be ironic. I'm sure that the group do some good work, but I seem to notice them when they say that we can't have two games on one day etc, and no safety reasons are given.

What exactly IS the safety issue over playing both games on one day ? Or is it traffic concerns ? In which case I'd suggest they shut the Highcross.

I saw a narrowboat at Cov with some of their fans who'd obviously been on it a while judging by the amount of empty tins of fizz. The Safety Advisory Group (sic) wouldn't go for it at Leicester.

Me neither, difficult one to call. As you say, the cup throws up some surprises. Could be a trashing (one way or the other) or a bore-draw. Or a bit of controversy, with Mr. Warnock debating the point with officials. What did he say which seems to have upset so many City fans ?

Re: Yeovil Town - Mon 19th Jan - 7.45pm I think you can get a train that goes the wrong way (to Exeter) and then one from there, gets back at gone 5 in the morning (!). Not recommended. Looks like walking is in order, as the ground is on the edge of town in an industrial area.

Quite a few pubs are closed for Boxing Day. One that IS open in the centre is the Palace (real ale at least), on Kirkgate. I hope to make it there if I can. Footy Special buses running as usual from near the Station. Two pounds return. Enjoy.

Re: Curiouser and curiouser It seems I was wrong about the Cumbria police; both they and Carlisle appear to have offered to do the decent thing, but our club has decided otherwise. Just 15 mins was all that was required. All sing along to Chelsea Dagger when I press the button.. :041:
