Bit like MM then :icon_wink :icon_bigg

these people have sat in the glowing lime light for the past few years, they have had plenty of time to take the club forward but have chosen not to. They have always said no one can hold more than 10% and thats that.
Well it wasnt they could easily have lobbied the other others got the required amount of people to back them and removed the silly stupid rule...
If they come back in with even a better offer than MM, I will be off as I will feel so cheated by them

I wouldn't be surprised to find a lot of these people don't give a s**t about anything more than their pockets.

If that's the case presumably the club's financial position isn't as bad as some people (maybe with vested interests?) keep telling us. If the club really is at death's door people who are just interested in what they'll get for their shares wouldn't vote against MM as the alternative could be that they end up getting nothing. Either that or they think there's another offer just around the corner :102:

I wouldn't be so quick to confuse cunning with greed.

I thought that was where Lazio and Roma played. Juve play at the Stadia Delle Alpi.

that was last season Hazza........ they ground share now with Torino until the Delle Alpi is finished....:icon_roll

So if MM doesn't come in, the outcome will be......:102:

As I'm led to believe from a fairly major shareholder that if the takeover doesn't go through we will go over our agreed overfraft with the bank. How true this is I don't know but he didin't rate the board very much either.

Heading further and further up shit creek, watching MM walk away with the only paddle :icon_cry:

The earlier next years season tickets start getting sold the deeper in the mire we are. ;)

There is a play about that, it is called "Waiting for Godot". ;)

So true!

ESTRAGON:: Nothing happens, nobody comes, nobody goes, it's awful!

Estragon: I can't go on like this.
Vladimir: That's what you think.

I take it that Milan is lacking the necessary 10% following canvassing of the shareholders as to whether they would accept the offer and that the actual bid has not been made yet?

I say this because there is still no confirmation on the FT website. If this is the case then the amount offered can be modified to a more satisfactory outcome before the final bid is actually submitted.

I don't believe the curent shareholders are only thinking about their pockets. I think it's worse than that, I think it's their ego's which are the issue.

In which case, bye bye takeover, bye bye club

So have only 65% agreed in what sense that they would sell their shares? In writing or verbal?

I would not think that MM would walk away now, as its quite 'well known' that he has been lowering his offer all the time and is just trying to get the club as cheap as possible as any other business person would. MM will obviously have a figure in his head that is the maximum he would offer, and only a daft person would place their highest offer on the table first. Nothing new to worry about IMO just the tables have turned on MM's negotiation. :102:

If this is true (and I have no reason to doubt Boc, he's usually right), I hope the shareholder have made the decision based on what they think is best for the club, rather than their own pockets.

I agree as well, I am curious of the way all the resignated directors voted as well as the FT. But more would have voted no as well as them for a 35% no vote.

Pimms and Vol au Vents all round!!

What MM bids for he club is up to him and for him to justify, seeing as 35% of the shareholders have refused it says that there are some people in there with ulterior motives. If the bid was so bad he would have got no where near 65%.

maybe linked to this other local bid?

i agree its an odd split. and a problematic one.

does anyone know if the rival bid that was mentioned was shown to the shareholders before the vote? or is this solely on the merits of MMs offer without comparison?

that would have breached his agreement I think, but I wonder if the shareholders were contacted privately about an alternative bid to put them off.

I have been told the same but he did say we would sell players to get back below it again. So the board didnt see it as a problem, the shareholder I know isnt happy with how the club is run.

I know that so much of this is conjecture BUT...if the club/board don't do something with this club ie accept MM bid and go forward with the hope of improving

or accept a bid/massive cash injection from an alternative source

or IF certain parties block/continue to question and drive the MM bid down the toilet with no alternative

I will be of a mind to finally give up spending my hard earned cash on my season ticket, away tickets, club shop etc.

I am fed up to the back teeth of this, sick of it !
