I know that this thread is old hat now but after seeing 'Later with Jools Brit band 10 year special' on Firday I have to nominate Dickie Ashcroft & The Verve.

Pompous, Dour, morose, from Wigan, etc

People prob like them loads because they ment something to them 10 years ago but they were never nearly as good as Mr Ashcroft was led to believe.

BRMC are fine though Highland Fox.
